I’m a busy bee

I worked on four different projects yesterday.  Whew!!

I finally got this block done.  I discovered that I had cut the white patches the wrong size (thankfully they were too big instead of too small!) so I had to rip almost everything out and cut the patches down to the correct size.  It’s a labor intensive block.  Fortunately it’s a rather large block (for me).  One down, 35 to go!

Next up, the quilt I’m making for Quilts of Valor.  My friend Lynette, who makes quilts for charity, handed out gobs of red and blue donated fabrics at our quilt group’s last meeting and asked us to make Quilt of Valor tops.

I got 6 more of these blocks finished yesterday, but I’m only going to show you a couple of them for now.

I got more work on this Orange Peel/petals quilt.  I need to think of a new name for this quilt. Any ideas?

It’s my “grab-n-go” project.  I try to keep several blocks, ready for stitching, next to the front door for those impulsive trips to the park or river.

Last but not least, I got 2 more blocks done on the Paducah Pineapple quilt.

I have enough blocks done for 5 rows, just 3 rows left to finish!

Holy cow – you have been busy! At least one of us is getting something done LOL! I am impatiently waiting to see the completed Paducah Pineapple. I remember when I saw those fabrics when we went to the show and I thought “goodness, where is her color sense?!” But as I’ve looked at the blocks you’ve posted I can now see how well the colors play together – my apologies for ever doubting you.

The QOV will be a great one to practice on your new longarm and I can’t wait to see your stitching for it. Stars maybe?? wpid-Cindi-Signature-small-2010-07-14-14-52.png
