Ready?? Your votes have been tallied! I suppose I should have told you that you could vote for more than one. But I did count every “like” as a vote.
We have a tie for second place!
And – drum roll please – with the most votes, the first place winner is #4!
I find these results fascinating!
At my group’s meeting, we voted for first, second, and third place, and here is a picture of the quilts with their makers.
Nancy made the well-liked braid quilt on the left, and Susan is on the far right with her scroll quilt. They tied for second place. And that’s me in the center, with my first place quilt! Yep, you heard that right, you bunch of disloyal, didn’t-vote-for-MY-quilt, obviously-have-no-taste blog readers – I won first place!! Ha!
Okay, all kidding aside – wasn’t that FUN? I loved seeing all the different designs that everyone came up with. We each got a chance to talk about our process and how we came up with the design we chose, which was very interesting. There were a couple of quilters who came up with an original design, and a couple of us who could not get that fabric to speak to us, no matter what. But we all had so much fun, we’ve already decided to do it again. Obviously our challenge was a success!
